I have a passion!
I now know I’m a great Content Curator (positive-skilled person), but only a few years ago I was afraid I was showing tendencies of a hoarder (negative-crazy person). What’s the difference you ask? Not much.
Content Curation is the act of sorting through large amounts of content on the web and accumulating the best posts to be used in a meaningful and organized way. The process can include finding, sifting, sorting, arranging, and placing found content into specific themes, and then publishing that information. In other words, it’s the act of discovering, compiling, then using it (in the future) to share with your online followers.
So then, what is hoarding? It’s accumulation for preservation or future use. A word that describes anyone who feels the need to find, collect, keep, and pack away; to stockpile, reserve, cache, or store. A collection or supply, as of memories or information, that one keeps to oneself for future use.
See what I mean??
